Located in the middle of the island the Oxenham Craft Distillery is the latest up and coming distillery from the island of Mauritius producing some exceptional rums.
The anniversary rum is made from the 1st press of pure sugar cane juice without the addition of any water. It has the same fermentation process as for wine with a cool and long process.
Following which the mash is double distilled similar to whisky with an initial distillation to a low spirit and second for the final rum which come off the still.
The rum is watered down before being aged for 6 years in French oak barrels which had previously held South African chenin blanc and pinotage before being bottled.
The rum comes in a decanter and gift box. Limited Edition to 952 bottles, only.
