Inspired by traditional Royal Navy rum blending techniques, this limited-edition expression combines carefully selected rums from Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, previous Master Blender's Reserve releases, and a precious touch of original Royal Navy flagon rum.
Revisiting the bold and complex character of the inaugural 50th Anniversary Edition, this year's release delivers remarkable depth, richness, and intensity. Rich Guyanese rums form the backbone of the blend, bringing notes of dark chocolate and black liquorice, while vibrant Jamaican rum contributes layers of tropical fruit. Matured Bajan rums add elegance and complexity, complemented by a rare component from the legendary closed Caroni distillery in Trinidad.
Rich aromas of dark chocolate, black liquorice, melted butter, and vibrant red grapefruit on the nose, with full-bodied and luxurious with layers of dark cocoa, treacle, liquorice, tropical fruit, and warming oak spice on the palate and a long, complex, and rewarding finish with lingering chocolate, citrus, and subtle savoury notes.
Best served neat, over ice, or with a splash of water.
