A smuggler of rum (and other liquor) to the U.S, through the Bahamas in the 1920s. Queen Cleo Spiced Rum begins its journey as a smooth, dark rum, run in from the Caribbean. It is then fearlessly spiced in the UK using a bold mix of 10 botanicals. A luscious blend of caramel, pecan, vanilla, hidden spices and refreshing lime. At 70cl and 40% ABV, it has a deep brown appearance. The aroma is fresh and warm, with grassy, sweet, spicy, and woody notes, while the taste combines tangy sweetness with ripe apricot, light black pepper, and warming cinnamon and clove. Spiced Rum
Ron Cabezon Botanical Rum 70clCabezon in Spanish means "Pig-Headed" (wilfully uncompromising). Ron Cabezon starts its' journey by aging a traditional, Caribbean rum, made from natural sugar cane for 5 years. The rum is then sent to the cool Scottish climate where the rum is split into 2 batches before undergoing a unique process and being blended together again prior to bottling. One batch will go for a fruit maceration over a period of weeks, and the inclusion of Arabian cubebs to add a slight smokiness to the flavour, as well as West African Kola nut. This adds a hint of spiciness which works well with Cola based mixers. The second batch ingredients include local honey from an Aberdeenshire farm, Madagascan vanilla and a secret blend of spices and botanicals, that give Ron Cabezon its unique uncompromising flavour. The two separate batches are finally brought back together (the macerations and the botanicals), to produce a blend that is well rounded and moreish. Gold Rum
Ron Los Valientes 10 Years OldRon Los Valientes rum comes from the town Veracruz in eastern Mexico and is produced by the Villanueva family who have been producing rum for over three generations. Los Valientes is produced in small batches.Both the juice and the molasses from the sugar cane go into making the rum which is then double distilled in pot stills. Only the heart of the spirit is taken from the second distillation which is then blended with column distilled, fast fermented molasses from the same crop. The blended rum is at a ratio of 70% pot-distilled rum from sugar cane and 30% column-distilled molasses rum. The rum is then aged in used white oak barrels for 10 years. Rum-Bar Gold 70clRum-Bar Gold is a premium gold rum, barrel aged for a minimum of 4 years. A classic rich Jamaican rum which can be enjoyed mixed or neat. Ideally, rested before sipping as once the alcohol dissipates the sweetness of banana and stewed apples prevails on the nose. The fruit dominate the palate whilst the four aged years enables this rum to benefit from oak interaction, also giving a vanilla and treacle like sweetness. Overproof Rum
Rum-Bar Overproof 70clRum-Bar Rum is Jamaicas premium White Overproof Rum. Sticking to tradition this is a blend of three un-aged rums, all distilled on our 100% copper Pot-Still; giving us a high level of quality and flavor and giving rum fans everywhere simply a better tasting rum. Tasting Notes: A traditional pure pot still overproof rum and is presented at 63% ABV. On the nose the banana notes dominate with a beautiful balance of other exotic fruit continuing through to the pallet supported with that classic grassy vegetal Jamaican funk.
