Bougainville VS is a premium Mauritian rum crafted from 100% local molasses. After a cool fermentation lasting 10 to 14 days at 18–24°C, the spirit is distilled in small batches to capture its full aroma at 79–83% ABV. It is then reduced to 65% and aged for a minimum of three years in 600-litre Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The result is a refined, well-balanced rum with a rich nose of raw sugar, soft wood, caramel, and subtle tobacco. On the palate, it delivers smooth layers of molasses, oak, and sherry-driven warmth, finishing with lingering notes of spice and caramel.
