This exceptional rum exemplifies the famed French Caribbean Agricole style, crafted solely from fermented sugar cane juice for a distinct, fruity-yet-funky base. Initially matured in French virgin oak under Mauritius' intense heat and humidity, the spirit rapidly developed luscious tropical fruit notes and rich wood oils – evocative of adult wine gums.
Later, re-racked into an ex-bourbon cask within our cool UK climate, the rum underwent a low and slow finish. This crucial step gently smoothed and mellowed the spirit, adding graceful complexity and evolving its lingering mouthfeel. The result? A uniquely dual-climate-aged Agricole rum offering vibrant fruit, savoury depth, and an impeccably balanced, sophisticated finish. A true collector's dram. Limited availability.
