Renowned for coffee and sugar cane, this Central American gem, the region's smallest, hosts Ingenio La Cabana distillery since 1920. Fueled by volcanic soils and tropical abundance, it excels in coffee and sugar production.
The distillery, seizing the early 2000s' premium rum trend, birthed its label. The highlighted blend, a marriage of light and heavy molasses-distilled rums, reveals a stunning gold hue. Aromas dance with herb, flower, molasses, and candy notes.
The palate unfolds softly, embracing intense flavours of pineapple, baked apples, toasted bread, and vanilla.
This rum offers a lingering, memorable journey through Central American craftsmanship. Devoid of added sugar or woodiness, every spirit in the collection is entirely natural.
These spirits undergo traditional aging in ex-bourbon American oak casks. As with all Bapt & Clems rums, they mature without the addition of sugar. The initial three years of aging take place in El Salvador, followed by over two years spent in four Sauternes casks, along with one each of Spanish Fino, Oloroso, and Manzanilla casks in Darroze Cellars.
