William Hinton Rum "Maidera's Lost Spirit" from the William Hinton Distillery - Engenho Novo da Madeira

Made from freshly press sugar cane juice, this very particular rum whose genesis resulted from the selection of the best sugar cane that Madeira Island has to offer. Its juice was subjected to a special process of prolonged fermentation and aged in French oak barrels.

On the nose, oak, caramel and vanilla are prominent.

In the mouth, definite notes of oak, mellows to a sweet, long finish of vanilla.   Bottled at 40%, this adds to the smoothness of this rum with its nutty and toffee sweetness.
