
William Hinton Rum "Maidera's Lost Spirit" from the William Hinton Distillery - Engenho Novo da Madeira
Made from freshly press sugar cane juice, this very particular rum whose genesis resulted from the selection of the best sugar cane that Madeira Island has to offer. Its juice was subjected to a special process of prolonged fermentation and aged in French oak barrels.
On the nose, this 9-month old rum gives a slight almond or marzipan note with a hint of plantain and hay.
In the mouth, note of oak, dry finish and doesn’t linger on the taste buds.
The rum is bottled at 40%, this is a nice mixing rum - excellent in a Daquiri or a Ti Punch!
