Dodo Gold rum unique in its kind is crafted from Mauritian molasses column distilled. What makes it unique is that during the aging process, fresh bananas, vanilla and red fruits are left to macerate in the French oak barrels. On the nose you will get a nice pleasant light spices aromas, vanilla followed by a sweet spiced, grilled bananas and peperry finihs on the palate. I ordered a cpuple of these bottles as a gift for some friends to let them experience actual rum with a decorative bottle as well. Unfortunately upon delivery the bottles had broken and leaked which was confirmed by both the delivery driver and both boxes being wet and actually smelling of the product. It seemed to be a genuine error, not sure how it happened but upon informing the rum shop via email, they responded incredibly quickly. They responded on email initially apologising and said they would sort out the issue with the delivery company themselves and organise replacements to be sent out. I actually was not ready for how quickly they would sort out two replacements which were both hand delivered the next day after informing them of the broken bottles. It was very quick and genuinely unexpected but I will definetely recommend both the product and service which are both deserving of the score individually. Thank you again, I will be coming back!

Bought this for my collection. Absolutely love the decanter! Haven't tried the rum yet. Delivery was really great, especially considering shipping glass decanter overseas. Both decanters - 1l and 0.3l came in perfect condition, including the boxes. Also payment process was easy. And great customer support! Thanks guys!!

Delivery was delayed, but I was kept informed. DPD website was regularly updated with where it was, and it arrived on 23rd December. In excellent condition - no spillages or breakages, and it looks just perfect. More than met my expectations and worth every penny - having been a Wren in Mauritius for a whole year in 1973 it has a special meaning for me, and my husband absolutely loves spiced rum. What could be better. Thank you.

wow asking for a review when the product hasn't even been delivered ?!
that's adding fuel to the fire -not at all impressed at the service hoping it will be delivered by the 7th paid for a speedier service appears not to be the case -disappointed to say the least!!

If you like the look of the decanter then it won’t disappoint. The rum is very sweet and vanilla dominated. Not to my taste but it is drinkable.
